PLEASE READ: VERY IMPORTANT...


  Greetings!... Well, it seems like this another great release from Virgin
software.. the graphix COULD be a little better.  There is supposed to be
a new version [v2.0] of shuttle simulator out soon, it will have digitized
voices [for mission control messages and the like] and better graphix.
Anyway, lets get down to what you HAVE TO DO TO INSTALL THIS PROPERLY!

  To install, you have to unzip all 4 disks with the -d option!.. This is
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!  The install program will get confused if you don't!
The -d option unzips the sub-directories onto the destination drive.
The ONLY SURE way of making it work right is to unzip all 4 disks with the
-d option to 4 seperate disks.. [one high density 1.44 or 1.2 MIGHT work]
... [I haven't tried that yet]..You might also try unzipping all 4 disks
with the -d option to 1 subdirectory on your hard disk.. THE REASON YOU MUST
DO ALL OF THIS IS THAT THE INSTALL PROGRAM MUST BE RUN, [OR YOU WILL LOOSE
MUCH DISK SPACE OR WON'T GET SOUNDBLASTER SOUND OR VGA, AND IT WILL
TAKE LESS SPACE. [YOU CAN ALSO DECOMPRESS THE RESOURCE FILES TO MAKE
THE GAME RUN FASTER [BUT IT WILL TAKE MORE DISK MEGGAGE SPACE]]]...

  One last thing, this game is VERY HARD at first, even to use., I suggest
buying the game [yes buying it], then photocopying the manual.. or wait
for the full dox.. it's like 300 pages long and comes with a huge poster
of the cockpit with diagrams of all the 300+ working switches.. This game
is very realistic, and very good, but very hard.. the way I like them.
